Omorose Cosmetics - A Beautiful Local Cosmetics Brand Products Review

Hey Pinkyies! I have a bunch of beauty products that are waiting for me to review but before all of those, let me share this long overdue review on this local brand - Omorose Cosmetics!

Omorose stands for "Beautiful" in ancient Egyptian. Inspired by his journey to the Valley of the Queens in Egypt, Terry Liau (the founder of Omorose Cosmetics) knew from the start that his cosmetics would delve deeper than colour and shade, style and trend.

So what does he mean by that? All the products from Omorose are meant to make every one not just beautiful from the colours and shades, but safe to use because they have:
  • No Parabens,
  • No Phenoxyethano,
  • No Phthalates,
  • No Mineral Oil,
  • No Animal Ingredient, and
  • It's Cruelty-Free

Thanks to Omorose, they have given me a complete range of their products with a total of 6 products to try out! I have been using it on and off for the past 2 months and here's my review about them. Without further ado, let's check them out!

#1. Omorose Aingeal

AINGEAL is a skin neutralizer that evens up skin tone. It's created to compliment the BB-STICK sunscreen foundation (the next product) and contains SPF 15 UVA/UVB protection.

Left: Blue/Brown | Right: Red/Highlighter

There are 2 universal shades to neutralize the appearance of discolouration or pigmentation.

X BLUE&BROWN (light coral)
- Neutralizes any blue undertone, under-eye shadows, bruises and pigmentation.

X RED / HIGHLIGHTER (eggnog)
- Neutralizes any redness (pimples, red marks/veins, rosacea, etc) and an effective highlighting medium to counteract unwanted shadows or to lift the cheekbones.

Suggested usage: Apply directly to the skin on areas of discolouration/pigmentation until it is neutralized. Blend into the skin with your fingertips or a brush, and allow 15 - 20 seconds for it to set in. Follow with your foundation and concealer.

If necessary, touch up with more AINGEAL after applying foundation. For highlighting, apply after foundation. Set with a setting powder for a long-lasting result.

Check out the differences on the top 2 images! Skin looks brighter and eyebags are less visible.

I have to say that Omorose made the right choice to come up with this product because skin neutralizers are quite famous these days. I have gotten myself some other brands which comes with a lot of colours but I'm so lazy to use them now. But this stick shaped neutralizers has made my life easier because it makes me wanna use it!

The texture of the product is smooth and creamy, but I'm not really sure why they made the stick diameter to be quite thick instead of like a pen shape which makes it a little bit hard to glide onto the skin. However it's easy to reach the corner areas with the edges of the stick.

The product turns a little bit matte after applied onto the skin, hence it's not very easy to blends out with brush, but it's fine with beauty blenders.

I didn't really use them to contour and highlight my face cause they don't give the result that I want. I would prefer a whiter colour as my highlighter, and a darker colour as my bronzer, but this is just my own preference.

My Overall Rating: 6/10 - It would be better if the cylinder shaped stick has a smaller diameter.

#2. Omorose BB Stick (Fair Medium)

Omorose said that the best companion for Aingel is this BB Stick which also known as a sunscreen foundation with coverage and SPF35?? content.

This stick foundation is perfect for coverage, touch-up and travel. The texture is also smooth and creamy like Aingeal. It has a lightweight hydrating formula that primes and minimizes imperfections, giving skin a glowing, ethereal look. However it doesn't really smell great to me.

Suggested usageApply to clean, moisturized skin. Lightly stroke all over the face, blending with fingertips, a sponge or a foundation brush. Touch up as needed.

Even though I mentioned that this BB stick has the same texture as Aingeal, however they are way more easy to glide onto the skin and easier to blend as well. It's the same size as Aingeal but turns out I love this thick diameter stick cause I only need a few strokes to cover up most parts of my face.

The coverage is not as great as I thought on the first layer but the coverage is buildable so it's still considered okay for me, plus most of my scars has faded so I'm quite satisfied with the coverage. The final outcome is quite glossy which I will need to apply powder after using it.

But this product was meant to bring out to travel? It sure is if you don't mind to blend the foundation with your fingers because stick foundations are normally easy to apply, but I don't really like to blend this product with my fingers. Hence I would only use this at home and when I need a quick touch up in the morning.

My Overall Rating: 7/10 - It's an average foundation with nothing bad to said, but since it's a stick foundation, would suggest it to come out with its own brush / sponge to blend the foundation onto the skin.

#3. Satyn (Diamond)

For a glossy foundation, I will need a powder to make it matte for sure cause I don't like the glossy feel on my skin. Glad that Omorose has their own loose powder called Satyn because it creates a satin-smooth finish on your skin. Instead of looking like the typical loose powder container shape, it looks like a round white pearl!

It's definitely the prettiest product among all!
To show you the size of this product with my hand.

The Satyn contains colourless superfine finishing powder. It's formulated with Diamond Powder Lumiere that delivers a matte effect with a soft radiant finish, diminishing the look of fine lines and imperfections while smoothens skin.

It comes with a small soft fluffy puff in it. The puff is thicker than other puffs that I had.

Satyn comes in a universal shade that matches all skin tones. It has 2 shades - Flawless & Diamond. I have to go for the Diamond one cause I owned quite a few loose powder already, and it sounds like it will make you shine bright like a diamond!

Can you see that it's has a little bit of shine and glitter in it, but the powder looks really very loose.

Suggested usage: Ensure powder is distributed evenly on the puff and press lightly onto skin. Can be applied over foundation or on its own.

The glittery powder doesn't look obvious on the skin, but it helps a little bit on glow up and whiten the skin.

Left side is my skin after applying the glowy BB stick foundation, and Right side is after putting on the Satyn powder over the foundation.

Overall this product does its basic job to mattify my skin, and I love the fair skin and glowy look it gave on my skin. Besides, the pretty round packaging is a plus point. The impressive part is it really has mini shiny glitters in it which is really pretty!

The only thing is that I realized the powders are a little bit too loose, which gets in the air very easily and goes into my nose when I take out the puff. It has happened almost every time I use the product (maybe because I'm too rude), but if I use it lightly, it won't happen.

Can see that my skin has a little bit of the glitter from the powder!

My Overall Rating: 5/10 - Besides the shining powder part, it's quite just an average powder for me.

#4. Rosey Glow (Radiant)

This product definitely reminds me of the famous EOS lip balm cause the packaging is almost the same as EOS lip balm! But it's not a lip product tho, it's a blusher!

Shade: Radiant

This hydrating gel blush tints the cheeks with a lasting, natural glow. Promising easy application, this convenient cheek tint makes for an excellent touch-up tool for a healthy glow throughout the day.

Smooth texture which is easy to blend on the skin as well.

Suggested usage: Apply on the apple of the cheeks and blend with fingertips for maximum effect. Use after foundation or apply directly to skin before powder.

I have tried out the normal kind of blusher and cream blusher, and then this, and I have to say that this is quite a good one! Aside from the pretty natural blushing colour, it's just so easy and convenient to glide onto the skin for a natural blushing effect! Besides, I realized it's quite lasting as well! But just like the BB Stick, sometimes I don't really like to blend it with my fingers and hope there's a small sponge to blend it with.

Not sure if you realized but there are a lot of times I love to apply blusher onto my nose as well for a cuter look!
And of course with this easy applicator, I can double it as a lip colour!

My Overall Rating: 8/10 - If you're fine with using fingers to blend in products, I'm recommending this product to you!

#5. Hypnotic Eyes (Aishwarya)

Time for some eye makeup! The Hypnotic Eyes is their eyeshadow from the range, and the Aishwarya shade has a brown and blue colour of eyeshadow!

This rich pigmented eye shadow duo comes in coordinating hues coupled with a mirrored compact. These gorgeous colours, with added Vitamin E to help prevent the signs of aging, are crease and fade resistant.

Look at how pigmented it is!

After blending the colours and it's still so bright!

Suggested usage: To be used together or separately, this long-wearing formula can be applied sheer or built up for a more dramatic effect.

Applied the blue colour, I never have such a bright pigmented blue shadows before!

Adding in some of the brown colour to the outer corner of my eyes to make them look deeper! And they are really crease and fade resistant, I'm impressed!

This is a super impressive eyeshadow duo for me cause I really never seen such pigmentation before! The blue colour is a bae! But the brown is a little bit too orangey, which is more suitable for yellow undertone skin. Again, I don't really have anything bad to say about this product!

My Overall Rating: 8/10 - This is my favourite product from Omorose! I hope they make more choices of colour soon so that I can get more!

#6. Lip Dressing

Finally we have come to the last and lip products! They don't really have lipsticks in their range but only lip balm which is called the Lip Dressing.

There are a total of 5 shades/flavour but here I have 3 of them - Raspberry Smoothie, Watermelon and Creme Brulee.

This nourishing vegan lip balm are rich in coconut oil, avocado oil, argan oil and Vitamin E, which nourish and protect dry lips. These are the pigmented one that adds a hint of colour to your lips, and it also comes with a clear one which creates a dewy glass effect.

From top: Creme Brulee, Watermelon, Raspberry Smoothie.

Suggested usage: Apply directly to lips, can also be layered under lipstick or gloss.

If you thought that the naming of each clip balm are just for the colours, you are wrong! Cause all of them does have the scent and taste of their names! My most favourite is the Raspberry smoothie!

Initially the colours looked sheer on my hand, but I love the final outcome on my lips! What makes me wanna use this lip balm every day is the oval shape stick! It's easy to adjust from the thick to thin part of my lips with this lip balm! I don't really know how to describe it but trust me, it's application way better than the typical round shade lip balm! Plus it's thin and easier to place in my tight bag!

And of course, it does its job to be a lip balm. These are my go-to lip products when I need a quick lip touch up for an impromptu short outing!

My Overall Rating: 8/10 - Quite a normal lip balm but the oval shape is perfect, and the colours are really pretty! Recommended lip balm :D

So that's all for the products! Here is my complete look with eyeliner added on!

In overall, there are some products that I'm super in love with like the Eyeshadow, Lip Dressing and Rosey Glow, but some are just average. However their packaging are quite unique, like the Diamond Satyn's round packaging is quite different from common products out there.

This whole set of items (excluding Aingel) comes in a stylish gift set which cost so much cheaper than getting single products!
