Traveller's beauty products - Althea Wanderlust Beauty Box Review
Tis' the season to go travel, falala lala la lalala! ?? It's travel season, which means more travel post! No wait, I mean, more beauty post for travellers! ?? I admit that I'm not much of a traveller or wanderlust, but I have to say that the Althea Wanderlust Box from Althea Korea is a must-have!! Why? You'll see why later! So keep reading or scrolling!
In case you haven't read my previous blog posts about Althea Beauty Box, click here to check them out! I just can't wait to share what's in the box with you guys, so without further ado, let's check them out!
#1. Peripera Mini-Mini Peppy's Carrier - New York (Yellow) | MYR99.00
Not sure if you already realized why I was so anticipated about this box? It's because of this - the Peripera Mini-Mini Peppy's Carrier!
It's like the main and most exclusive product in the beauty box cause look at this small luggage carrier that has 4 wheels & retractable handle, with 5 types of miniature products inside! Don't chu think it's super duper cute? It comes with cute DIY New York designed stickers for you to DIY the carrier as well.
You can always fill the empty space full with stickers, but I wanna keep it simple with only a few of my most favourite items in the middle. Also because I'm afraid that I'll just ruin the design so I rather not stick any more. Trust me.. my random creation is always a big failure. ??
The Airy Ink Velvet & Ink Velvet has a very velvety smooth texture, while the Vivid Tint Water is, obviously, watery tint. The concealer and multi-shadowing are on the other hand, creamy texture.
I'll test the products from face to lips cause this is normally how I would apply my makeup.
The shade is a little bit too light for my skin tone, but it can be used as highlighter. Even tho the shade is obviously too light for me, but after blending under my eyes, can you see it has brighten up my overall look? I'm loving it!
This product cannot be found in-store or anywhere cause it's a new limited edition product, only for Peppy's carrier! It's a multi-purpose product to be used on eyeshadow and shading. However the shade is a little bit too light for my skin tone as you can see from the image above. The shading is not obvious, unless I apply a light shade foundation.
If you're a tint user, you know that it can be used on both lips and cheeks. I always love to use tint specifically for an ombre lips look. I've owned Peripera's lip tint before and it used to be my favourite product of the year!
Compare to other lip products, this is rather new in the store, and I still remember how much I wanted this Airy series when it first came out few months ago! The pastel, velvety and airy feel is to die for!
Leave the brightest colour to be the last cause I planned to wear this out for my whole day event on that day. And OMG I feel like it's too bright for the whole day, like can it start to fade already? ?? Don't get me wrong, I was complimenting how lasting and vivid the colour was!
My thoughts
Aside from the super cute packaging where every wanderlust should get, all the products got my positive comments! Okay I'm not so in love with the Ink Multi Shadowing cause its colour is not that obvious on my skin. But for its creamy and lasting texture? I have to say that it's a must have for fair skin babes!
Most Peripera products are super lasting, which I have a love-hate relationships with! It's quite hard to remove at the end of the day, you either need oil remover or purchase their own remover to get rid of it completely. But at the end I still like long lasting products!
Althea is selling this set at a promo price of MYR99 instead of MYR149, but to me, I think it's quite expensive if looking at each mini size product cost about MYR20 each..? Cause let's be real here, that luggage box is just for keeping or decoration, you won't bring the whole thing to travel if you want to travel light, right?
But come to think of it, their full size products are almost MYR50 (or more?) each as well. For those who don't wear the same lipsticks everyday or love to try out new lipsticks from time to time, mini products are the best for you since you won't finish all of the full size lipsticks anyway.
I would rate this 11/10 for the awesomeness of each products and the super cute packaging and products, but in terms of recommendation, it's still up to you - are you willing to spend MYR99 for 5 mini products (from Face to Lips), or do you prefer to get 2 full size products from Peripera at almost the same price? You decide. :)
If you would like to go for only 1 of the full size product, the Airy Ink is my recommendation!
#2. Aqutop Water Color Blusher - Soft Pink | MYR58.00
Another multi-purpose product is included in this box! This Water Color Blusher by Aqutop looks like a nail polish, but it's a blusher that provides a natural tinted colour to your skin, and brightens up any complexion with a dewy finish. It can be used as a blusher, eyeshadow or lip makeup!
The watery texture blends onto the cheeks for a dewy finish, perfect for a traveling flush! Pop this on the cheeks for a flush, and add it to your lips and eyes for a monochromatic look.
A value added for watery texture products is that you can do colour blending with a few different tint to create a new colour for a different look!
My way of applying blusher is I love to apply it on top of my nose as well for a little bit of sunkissed skin look!
My thoughts
Even though this product is multi-purposed, however I don't think I would actually bring it to travel as it's a little bit bulky, compared to some of the blushers I owned. I can simply pop in the Peri's Vivid Tint Water into my travel bag and my blusher is all ready for me to use anytime anywhere.
But the product itself is quite special. Never really seen this blush applicator before, but the colour is really subtle and I don't need to worry if I accidentally applied too much, also if you want it to be more visible, add in more products as it's quite buildable.
It does give a dewy finish, and the colour looks like blushing out from my skin! But it's not really much of a lip product for me as it's too light to be nice on my lips.

#3. Heynature Dual Eyeshadow - Champagne Coral | MYR40.00
I would say this is really a great beauty product for travel cause you can get defined eyes with only one pen-sized eyeshadow that fits in your pouch perfectly!
This Dual Eyeshadow from Heynature comes with 2 shades in 1 stick, convenient and easy to use, perfect for travelling! Just one swipe gives you a natural and perfectly paired colour gradation, making it quick and easy when you're on the move.
Since I have inner double eyelid, I have to apply the coral colour at a higher position so that it's visible when I opened my eyes. Using both the colours under eye area to make your eyes pop!
My thoughts
I actually love the colours very very much, however this eye shadow stick doesn't work really well on my eyelids as the creamy texture will create a lot of crease throughout the day. I realized somehow it's not really easy to blend with the given sponge, and I would rather blend it with my fingers.
Besides, it actually don't really give a vivid colour on one swipe, you'll need to swipe it a few more times to get a more pigmented colour. Not sure is it my own problem, but I think this is more suitable for single eyelids babes.
Good thing that it's not entirely useless for me. The shimmery shades makes a great highlighter for my under eyes and cheek bones. The coral colour might blend well with my blusher.

#4. COC Momo Waterproof Gel Eyeliner - #01 Real Black | MYR20.00
And it's another pencil eyeliner that claims to be long lasting and water + smude proof. Let's see if it's true!
This COC Momo Waterproof Gel Eyeliner is claimed to be
No doubt, the gel texture of the eyeliner gives a soft spread feel and it's easy to glide on.
Let's have a water test on the eyeliner:
Hmmm, I just added a few drops of water and why do I see the eyeliner is coming off? I swear that's water that I put on top! I'm starting to doubt this product now.
My thoughts
No offense, but isn't this type of eyeliner is a little bit too common? I remembered seeing a lot of Korean brands having this kind of eyeliner, and it makes choosing a good one that much more difficult for consumer. The less common part of this COC MOMO gel eyeliner is when it says it's waterproof, but my waterproof test on it actually failed. I wonder is it my water too acidic or I've applied it the wrong way? Hmm...
But there's still some points from me for the vivid black colour and soft spread gel texture that's easy to glide on.....and the provided sharpener that's convenient for travel. I might still use it when I feel like drawing my eyeliner with a pencil liner, and not going to somewhere that will contact with water.

#5. Etude House Dr Mascara Fixer For Super Long Lash | MYR25.00
If you thought this is a typical lengthening mascara but in a different packaging design, you are wrong! This Dr Mascara Fixer is a transparent fixing gel that lengthens eyelashes and offers perfect curl and water-proof fix in any environment and climate.
It contains micro black fibers that extend the tips of lashes to maximize lengthening, and it's infused with Black Food extracts to condition lashes for a healthy and glowy lashes. Most importantly, it's long wearing and stays put throughout the day, so flutter on!
My thoughts
When I first saw this product, I was shocked when I saw it was all the little black fibres (which I thought they were real lashes lol) in the bottle, and I was so impressed after applied on my eyelashes! The lengthening is real, and the curl fix is real too! No eyelash curler needed anymore!
I didn't use it on top or under any mascara, but if you have lesser number of eyelashes like me, you'll see it's not that thick and looking from far, so it's better to apply mascara for a thicker effect.
I have to say it's really quite natural even after lengthening. This is definitely one of my favourite product from this box! Since it can be used alone like this, I would say this is another great product for travel as you don't need to bring extra falsies on your trip!
As I recently did eyelash extension several times, I don't quite have a lot of chance to use this product. But will definitely start using it more often after new year!

Personally think that this is my most favourite box that I received from Althea! I actually get to try not just 4 or 5 products, but 4+5=9 products in total! From my rating you already know which items are my favourite - Peripera's Mini-Mini Peppy's Carrier & Etude House Dr Mascara Fixer! I kinda like the Dual Eyeshadow for being my travel product as well, even though the product itself could be better..
I know I have mentioned this many times in all of my Althea beauty boxes review but all of their boxes are super worthy cause it's always cost 50% lesser than the amount of all of the items added up! The Peppy's Carrier set has already cost 85% of this box y'know! This box was sold out within 2 day after it's released! What's in Peppy's Carrier:
(a) Peripera Ink Concealer (No.1 Cover King Vanila)
The shade is a little bit too light for my skin tone, but it can be used as highlighter. Even tho the shade is obviously too light for me, but after blending under my eyes, can you see it has brighten up my overall look? I'm loving it!
(b) Peripera Ink Multi Shadowing
This product cannot be found in-store or anywhere cause it's a new limited edition product, only for Peppy's carrier! It's a multi-purpose product to be used on eyeshadow and shading.
